What’s not covered?
Far too often, pet parents must dip into their savings to treat their four-legged friends. Our mission is to prevent that.
However, there are instances when claims won’t qualify for coverage. We want our customers to be fully informed, and we don’t believe in burying important information in the fine print.
Like other pet insurers, ManyPets doesn't cover pre-existing conditions (more on that below). Our insurance policy also won't reimburse for preventative care, though our Wellness Plan will.

How does ManyPets define pre-existing conditions?
ManyPets defines a pre-existing condition as:
Any condition for which your pet received medical advice, treatment, or showed symptoms in the 18 months before the policy start date or during the waiting period.
While pet insurance companies usually exclude pre-existing conditions, ManyPets will no longer consider a condition pre-existing if your pet has been symptom-free, undiagnosed, and untreated for 18 months (except for hip dysplasia, cruciate ligament conditions, and, in some states, invertebral disc disease).
